About the Salon

In 2008, Rosa Melgen moved to the U.S. and began her career as a hair stylist after training under her mother, who also worked as a hair stylist and owned her own hair salon for 20 years in the Dominican Republic. In 2014, when the owner of the salon where Rosa worked decided to retire, Rosa jumped at the opportunity to become a business owner. Despite not speaking English well, being a young, immigrant woman, and not having any previous skills in business management, by 2015 Rosa's dream of becoming an entrepreneur was fulfilled and Dominican Hair Salon by Rossy was born.

Today, Dominican hair salons are very popular in the U.S. and Rosa is very proud to be able to share her authentic Dominican hair techniques with her dedicated, growing clientele. Dominican Hair by Rossy is known for their high quality services for African-American hair and is top rated on Google and FaceBook.
